Welcome to the world of GOR

Greetings A/all ~soft smile~ this girl has been asked by her Master to inform Y/you about Gor.
Gor is based on a series of books written by One called John Norman. In the series there are 25 books, all based on different Cities and “Clans” that can be found upon Gor. These books are also referred to as the scripture. The scriptures are based on the times of one Man spent on Gor....a Warrior by the name of Tarl Cabot who comes originally from Earth.
Gor is a beautiful place but also savage at times. It is ruled by the Masters and Mistresses with slaves that live to serve and and satisfy Their every need. It is similar to the lifestyle of the Dom/sub relationship but set in a different surrounding. The skies of Gor are looked upon by three Moons, the brightest that any will ever find and the planet is ruled by the Priest Kings, insect like creatures that are said to be found in the Sadar mountains and whose intelligence is said to be one that surpasses any to be found anywhere.
Masters and Mistresses are considered FreePersons upon Gor, the Mistresses wear what are called robes of Concealment and can at any time be forced to wear a slave’s ko~lar if Their behaviour is questioned but They may also enter into what is referred to as a Free Companionship, similar to the Urthen marriage, with the only difference being that it is valid for but a year and can be either renewed or abolished upon the one year anniversary.
Now, how do W/we distinguish the difference between a Master/Mistress and slave upon Gor? It is quite simple. The FreePersons name is always in caps (ex: DarkLord, Myste) and the slave is always in lower case (ex: wisteria, gilreth). The FreePerson must always be greeted with either Master or Mistress in front of Their name. When in doubt we refer to Them as Master. In any case a FreePerson must always be treated with the upmost respect for the well being and life of a slave depends upon it.
In the realm of Gor, a slave/thrall need not beg to enter the Tavern but must request permission to leave. Not all Taverns have the same rules so it is always preferred that a slave/thrall familiarize themselves with the protocols before venturing. It is not permitted for a slave/thrall to whisper to a FreePerson without first asking permission but A/all are always willing to help inform O/one that wishes to learn of O/our ways.
This one hopes that this information will be found helpful for A/any that may wish to learn ways of Gor and feel free to search the other various links of the page to find out more about the Homestone of this one’s Master
